This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the Technical Transformation: Mentor and enhance the skill set of the QA specialist team, shifting from a primarily manual workflow to a standardized QA model that includes automated regression testing and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Serve as the "Gatekeeper": Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to guarantee that every release adheres to high standards of quality and stability.
• Introduce Hybrid Testing: Uphold exceptional manual testing quality while developing automated frameworks to minimize overhead.
• Oversee the Bug Lifecycle: Assess issues based on customer impact and business objectives, ensuring that the Engineering team concentrates on the most critical friction points.
• Cultivate the Culture: Promote a "Quality-First" mindset across the broader team, ensuring that rapid growth does not compromise our customers' trust.
• Product Mastery: Become a profound expert on the Eventeny product to foresee how new features may disrupt existing workflows for festivals or conventions with over 5,000 participants.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including at least 1–2 years in a Lead or Manager role—preferably in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to guide non-technical team members in technical QA practices (such as SQL fundamentals, API testing, and browser development tools).
• Experience in developing automation frameworks that integrate seamlessly with the existing codebase.
• You excel in a fast-paced setting where growth experiments are ongoing, and the capacity to adapt quickly is essential for success.
• Strong expertise in API testing and database querying.
• Comfortable reading (and potentially writing) code and engaging in PR reviews.
• Recognize that a "bug" is not merely a technical mistake; it represents a setback for a festival organizer on their most significant day of the year.
