Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• The QA Engineer will be tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of both manual and automated testing solutions, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products within Core Banking. This role merges technical expertise with a focus on quality and assists development teams in integrating automated tests early and consistently throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Key Responsibilities

• Test Design & Implementation

• - Strategize test phases and formulate test concepts

• - Design and perform manual tests

• - Create and uphold automated test scripts for UI, API, and SAP GUI testing

• - Choose suitable automation frameworks and tools based on product requirements

• - Ensure that test automation code adheres to principles of clean coding, maintainability, and reusability

• Quality Assurance & Validation

• - Work collaboratively with developers and product owners to establish test strategies and acceptance criteria

• - Evaluate requirements and pinpoint automation possibilities throughout the test pyramid

• Defect Analysis & Reporting

• - Deliver clear and actionable defect reports

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Skills

• - Expertise in at least one programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript

• - Practical experience with the automation framework Playwright

• - Strong knowledge of API testing and tools like Bruno

• - Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools

• - Basic understanding of DevOps principles and containerization (Docker)

• Quality & Methodology Skills

• - Comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies (ISTQB), the test pyramid, and test design techniques

• - Capability to establish automation strategies that align with business objectives

• Soft Skills

• - Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

• - Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

• - German language skills, both verbal and written, are a plus
