Quality Assurance Consultant – API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the development team to gain insights into project requirements and functional specifications.

• Design, develop, and execute test cases to guarantee the quality and reliability of our online payment platform.

• Perform comprehensive testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to identify and document defects or issues.

• Comprehend the API request and response cycle.

• Conduct stress testing on each API utilizing automated tools.

• Work closely with developers to reproduce and isolate issues, providing detailed bug reports.

• Track and manage defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring follow-up on their resolution.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.

• Participate in code reviews to offer insights on testability, quality, and potential concerns.

• Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and the evolution of the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of role-specific experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or High-Growth Startups.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

• Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.

• Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control tools.

• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) is advantageous.

• Ability to establish credibility and foster internal relationships.

• Understanding of client, merchant, and stakeholder care.

• Awareness of how your role supports the overall business.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to a growing fintech environment.

• Capacity to work in a team and manage daily tasks effectively.

• Skills and knowledge to actively engage in meetings.

• Ability to deliver work within deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving and quick-thinking abilities.
