QA Engineer, Release Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Focus primarily on Quality Assurance and release management.

• Black-Box Testing: Create and execute tests for intricate scenarios to ensure that various combinations of MaxScale filters and routers function properly together.

• Documentation Verification: Review and validate that product documentation is precise, comprehensive, and accurately represents the software's behavior.

• Customer Issue Verification: Serve as a technical liaison for issues escalated by support engineers.

• Problem Resolution: Develop representative test cases to aid the development team in fixing bugs.

• Release Management: Oversee four maintenance releases annually across five active MaxScale series.

• Build Infrastructure: Oversee and maintain the automated build system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of C++ for test development and an understanding of the code base.

• Proficient in Python for build automation and scripting.

• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with database management systems, ideally MariaDB or MySQL.

• Familiarity with Linux environments, including expertise in DEB and RPM packaging and repository management.

• Practical experience with Jenkins, GitLab, etc.

• Background in black-box testing and troubleshooting complex software interactions.

• Experience with Virtual Machines and cloud platforms for software building and testing.
