This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ You will take charge of quality and test automation at Cashen.
β’ Your responsibility will include constructing the QA infrastructure from the ground up β encompassing automated test suites, CI integration, regression coverage, and release validation β for a platform where bugs can have financial repercussions.
β’ You will collaborate closely with the CTO and the development team to ensure that every release meets the stringent correctness standards required for institutional financial software.
β’ As the platform evolves from an off-chain marketplace to on-chain DAML smart contracts, you will expand test coverage across both layers.
β’ 3β5 years of experience in QA engineering or test automation, with a focus on building test infrastructure β not merely executing manual test plans.
β’ Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript is essential β the backend utilizes NestJS, the frontend employs React, and your testing tools must integrate with both.
β’ Familiarity with API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks (such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar).
β’ A background in fintech, financial services, or any system where numerical accuracy and state machine correctness are critical.
β’ Experience with CI/CD pipelines is necessary β you will integrate automated tests into the deployment workflow.
β’ Ability to read and reason about financial logic: interest calculations, LTV thresholds, settlement sequences, and multi-party deal flows.
β’ You will create the automated test suite from scratch, ensuring integration and end-to-end coverage for backend APIs and frontend applications.
β’ Design test frameworks to validate financial logic β focusing on interest accrual precision, state machine transition completeness, and margin call trigger accuracy.
β’ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure every pull request and deployment is validated prior to reaching production.
β’ Build and manage test data fixtures and environment configurations for consistent, isolated test execution.
β’ You will oversee the release validation process β defining what it means to be "release-ready" and ensuring compliance.
β’ Work alongside engineers during development to identify gaps in testability and advocate for architectures that facilitate testing.
β’ Expand test coverage to include DAML smart contracts and on-chain/off-chain integration as the platform transitions to Canton.
β’ Document test plans, coverage maps, and known gaps to maintain team visibility into quality posture at all times.
β’ Build from the ground up: You will design the entire QA infrastructure for an institutional financial platform.
β’ Real financial implications: Your efforts will directly safeguard institutional counterparties from erroneous deal execution.
β’ Canton ecosystem: Supported by Ergonia and Cumberland, with direct access to the Canton Foundation and ecosystem partners.
β’ A lean team with high impact in a fast-paced environment: Every test you develop protects real capital. Quality is a priority here.
