Quality Assurance Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee and/or conduct audits of complex activities within a designated section of the Bank to ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and external regulations.

• Recognize instances of non-compliance and inform the relevant parties, including the individual employee when necessary, to avert future occurrences.

• Keep records of identified deficiencies.

• Prepare regular reports on audit activities.

• Analyze data to identify trends and suggest modifications to policies and processes to address these trends.

• Stay updated on the policies, processes, and regulations that impact monitoring and/or auditing activities, ensuring the accuracy of analyses and findings.

• Pinpoint potential opportunities for procedural or process enhancements.

• Propose recommendations and assist in the implementation of those that are approved.

• Offer guidance and training to less experienced team members.

• Comprehend and comply with the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in alignment with the Company’s Risk Appetite.

• Recognize risk-related issues that require escalation to management.

• Foster an environment that promotes inclusivity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

• Uphold M&T internal control standards, including the timely execution of internal and external audit points, alongside any issues raised by external regulators where applicable.

• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or alternatively, a combined total of at least 4 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the relevant area.

• Excellent analytical capabilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in relevant spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.

• Highly detail-oriented.
