Quality Assurance Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement manual testing strategies, including test plans, test cases, and regression tests.

• Assess application functionality to ensure it meets the specified requirements and expected workflows.

• Detect, document, monitor, and re-evaluate software defects.

• Support the team in ensuring compliance with software regulations such as DISA STIG and DoD standards.

• Collaborate with developers and product management to clarify requirements and anticipated behavior.

• Engage in agile software planning, backlog assessment, and release validation activities.

• Conduct user workflow and usability assessments across web applications.

• Help maintain consistent software quality throughout different releases and environments.

• Assist with acceptance testing and gather feedback from stakeholders.

• Keep comprehensive testing documentation and release notes.

• Promote ongoing enhancements to QA processes and standards.

• Perform additional job-related responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in healthcare, government, or regulated sectors.

• Knowledge of Angular, Node.js, or API-driven applications.

• Proficient in regression testing and release validation.

• Experience with automated testing tools or scripting, including AI-enhanced technologies to improve testing quality and coverage.

• Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT) procedures.

• Proven experience in testing contemporary web applications.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.

• Ability to accurately document defects and replicate issues.

• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously while coordinating efforts across teams.

• Experience with issue tracking systems such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Must successfully complete pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
