QA Tester, Functional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement testing plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the functionality and quality of software products.

• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, collaborating closely with developers to resolve them.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design test cases accordingly.

• Conduct functional testing to verify that the software meets specified requirements and operates as expected.

• Perform regression testing to ensure that changes and enhancements to the software do not adversely affect existing functionality.

• Participate in the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools.

• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

• Provide timely and accurate reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect metrics to project stakeholders.

• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to prioritize and manage testing efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Tester Functional or similar role with over 3 years of experience.

• Background in Banking or retail.

• Experience in Mobile, Web, API, Desktop, and Mainframe testing.

• Knowledge of performance and security testing.

• Proficiency in automated testing (web, mobile) using Java | Selenium | Appium.

• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle database management.

• ISTQB certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with writing test cases in Gherkin language is desirable.

• Understanding of testing tools (Jira Xray, SoapUI, JMeter, Postman, Git, Selenium).

• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
