QA Tester – Automation Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and dependability of the Athena Master Reference Data Platform.

• Create, document, and implement thorough automated testing strategies that encompass unit, integration, and end-to-end regression testing.

• Design and uphold automated test scripts focused on data validation.

• Incorporate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Work alongside developers to establish 'Definition of Done' criteria.

• Conduct comprehensive data validation utilizing SQL.

• Partner with Data Engineers and Architects to identify, document, and monitor defects.

• Develop and sustain automated regression test suites to facilitate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes.

• Verify API endpoints and downstream data consumption points.

• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.

• 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

• 5-10 years of experience in creating automated testing frameworks for data-centric platforms (using Python, PyTest, or Great Expectations).

• Strong expertise in SQL for complex data analysis, validation, and backend testing.

• Demonstrated experience in testing Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data platforms or large-scale data warehouse environments.

• Proven history of implementing automated testing strategies using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD environments.

• Practical experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework) and Azure DevOps/Jira for defect management.

• Familiarity with Kafka and streaming data validation.

• Exposure to OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data validation and querying.

• Experience with MDM platforms, preferably Reltio.
