This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Enhance and sustain our established WebdriverIO automation framework utilizing a component-based Page Object design.
• Develop and implement automated tests for web and React Native mobile applications (iOS and Android) leveraging WebdriverIO and cloud-based device testing services.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated testing within our CI/CD workflows to facilitate swift and dependable releases.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze outcomes, and deliver actionable recommendations to elevate product quality.
• Collaborate with developers to establish effective testing strategies for both new and existing features.
• Advocate for best practices in test automation, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and grooming sessions to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and uphold clear test plans, test cases, and reporting documentation.
• Foster quality, automation, and testability throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work together with various development pods, balancing priorities while upholding quality standards simultaneously.
• Encourage shift-left testing methodologies to identify issues earlier and mitigate downstream risks.
• Over 5 years of experience in QA automation or software development.
• Robust hands-on experience with WebdriverIO (component-based architecture or Page Object patterns) or equivalent expertise in Playwright with proven ability to quickly adapt to WDIO.
• Familiarity with integration testing and Node.js-based testing frameworks.
• Strong command of TypeScript and Node.js, with practical experience working within Node.js-based frameworks.
• Experience in testing React Native applications (iOS and Android) using WebdriverIO or Playwright, along with cloud testing platforms.
• Proficient in running and monitoring automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Mocha, Supertest, Postman, or similar.
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Agile development methodologies.
• A keen eye for detail, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
