This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and guide the QA team, including planning resources, managing workloads, mentoring team members, and fostering career growth.
• Establish, execute, and continuously enhance QA processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices throughout the organization.
• Create and sustain detailed test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for both new and existing products.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements and define testing strategies.
• Ensure quality is integrated throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead test planning, execution, defect management, and activities related to release readiness.
• Oversee QA activities utilizing Jira and associated project management and reporting tools.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on quality metrics, testing progress, defect trends, and indicators of release quality.
• Identify quality risks early and proactively suggest strategies for mitigation.
• Enhance both manual and automated testing practices within the team.
• Engage in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional growth of QA team members.
• Encourage collaboration among QA, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to enhance overall product quality and delivery efficiency.
• Keep abreast of emerging QA tools, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading QA teams in a Team Lead, QA Manager, or comparable leadership position.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile software delivery methodologies.
• Proven experience in creating and managing test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience in coordinating testing activities across multiple projects and teams.
• Practical experience with Jira and related project tracking and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with QA metrics, reporting frameworks, and quality governance practices.
• Experience in establishing or scaling QA processes within expanding technology organizations.
• Solid understanding of web application testing and contemporary software architectures.
• Experience collaborating with development, product, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior and mid-level QA professionals.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Upper-intermediate (or higher) proficiency in English.
• Ability to work efficiently in a distributed international team environment.
• Experience utilizing the latest AI tools to enhance productivity through automation, where applicable (e.g., Codex, ChatGPT, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
