QA Registered Nurse, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Conducts prospective reviews of all OASIS assessments to verify their suitability, completeness, and adherence to federal and state regulations.

• Ensures accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing in relation to the patient’s medical conditions, including any co-morbidities.

• Collaborates with relevant clinical personnel to resolve data integrity concerns and works with clinicians to implement necessary corrections.

• Assesses visit utilization for alignment with care guidelines and patient conditions; communicates any potential financial losses or underutilization to the Clinical Supervisor or their designee.

• Alerts the leadership team to any troubling trends identified during the OASIS review process.

• Engages in Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance initiatives as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a registered nurse with a valid license to practice professional nursing in the state.

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• 2-5 years of experience in clinical home health is required.

• Must possess a working knowledge of OASIS and ICD-10 coding.

• OASIS certification (COS-C) is preferred; OASIS Home Health ICD-10 coding certification is also preferred.

• Familiarity with federal regulations and state licensure requirements is essential.
