QA Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Quality strategy: Establishing standards, coverage expectations, and quality gates throughout the platform.

• Test planning and execution: Conducting functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and backend interfaces.

• Release confidence: Taking responsibility for the go/no-go decision from a quality standpoint prior to production releases.

• Bug triage: Evaluating and prioritizing incoming issues, collaborating with engineering to direct and resolve them.

• Test automation: Determining what can and should be automated, while developing and maintaining the necessary tools to support it.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Partnering with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure quality is integrated, not an afterthought.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in QA with a robust engineering background, whether through development, self-directed education, or practical experience in automation, infrastructure, or backend systems.

• A history of taking ownership of quality as an area of expertise, rather than merely adhering to a pre-existing process.

• Ability to work independently — you will be assigned projects and objectives, without detailed instructions provided.

• Strong systems thinking — comprehending how changes affect the system and identifying risk areas, not just verifying if a feature functions in isolation.

• Familiarity with contemporary tools and a proactive approach to optimizing your workflow, including the use of AI tools.

• Effective communication skills and the assurance to challenge when something is not ready for release.
