This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Design, maintain, and enhance both manual and automated test cases for NIRIS baselines.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and release testing.
• Create, uphold, and refactor automated test scripts utilizing frameworks such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Assist in test automation frameworks within the NATO Software Factory (Azure DevOps / GitLab CI/CD).
• Perform interface and interoperability testing for tactical data links and external systems (Link 16, JREAP, OTH-Gold, DIS, VMF, AIS, CESMO, etc.).
• Prepare test data and assist in test-event preparations (e.g., CWIX, customer visits).
• Record, monitor, retest, and confirm defects using Jira / Zephyr or comparable tools.
• Generate and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, execution reports, regression reports, and release readiness inputs.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Provide test evidence, KPIs, and release recommendations to facilitate acceptance and governance decisions.
• Proactively identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and areas for process enhancement.
• Experience: Over 5 years in software testing & QA (complex/distributed systems).
• English: Professional proficiency in both oral and written communication.
• Agile: Background in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Manual testing: More than 3 years (functional, regression, integration, release).
• Defect management: Over 3 years (identification, reporting, retesting, verification).
• API/Interface testing: At least 2 years (RESTful services, messaging systems).
• Web GUI & CLI testing: More than 2 years.
• Interoperability testing: Over 2 years (external systems, data exchange).
• Test automation: At least 2 years (using Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Scripting: More than 1 year (in Python, Java, Bash, or Ansible).
• Containers: At least 1 year (with Docker or equivalent).
• Tools: Proficient in Jira, Zephyr, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Documentation: Experience with test plans, cases, reports, defect reports, and release readiness documentation.
• OS troubleshooting: Knowledge of Windows Server & Linux (IP, DNS, HTTP, certificates).
