Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement testing strategies for healthcare and medical software applications.

• Create and uphold test cases, exploratory testing methodologies, regression testing suites, and risk-based testing approaches.

• Construct, maintain, and enhance automated tests where they add significant value.

• Conduct manual and exploratory testing when human insight, investigation, or domain expertise is necessary.

• Validate front-end and back-end functionalities, REST APIs, workflows, integrations, business rules, database interactions, and data integrity.

• Compose clear defect reports, document risks, and convey findings in a manner that aids the team in making informed decisions.

• Operate within Estenda’s ISO 13485 registered Quality Management System, adhering to documentation standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Utilize approved AI tools as appropriate to enhance productivity, test design, documentation, analysis, and testing efficiency.

• Continue to enhance your technical, healthcare-domain, regulatory, and quality engineering expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A 4-year degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7-8 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or in a similar position.

• Strong understanding of software quality practices, including test planning, test case design, defect management, traceability, test metrics, and risk-based testing.

• Experience testing web applications, APIs, front-end and back-end functionalities, integrations, workflows, business rules, and data-driven scenarios.

• Proficient in tools such as Postman, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Experience in building and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.

• Ability to comprehend relational databases, ER diagrams, data workflows, and table relationships.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
