This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Engage with business owners, ATI counterparts, and project delivery team members to understand, clarify, and document objectives and success factors for solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Define and implement the quality engineering strategy for Salesforce and related platforms.
• Establish quality standards, governance for testing, and best practices across Agile teams.
• Foster a shift-left testing culture that integrates quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance test effectiveness, efficiency, and speed of delivery.
• Advocate for quality as a collective responsibility shared among development, product, and business teams.
• Lead the development and implementation of our scalable test automation strategy.
• Increase automation coverage across user interface, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing layers.
• Utilize AI-powered testing tools for test generation, maintenance, defect analysis, and optimization of tests.
• Promote the adoption of intelligent automation practices that minimize manual effort and boost release confidence.
• Continuously assess emerging AI and quality engineering technologies to enhance team productivity.
• Ensure that proposed solutions are thoroughly tested as appropriate prior to delivery.
• Provide updates, guidance, and recommendations on technology solutions and projects to staff, impacted ATI teams, Corp Services/Protiviti business teams, and senior ATI management.
• Collaborate with technical discipline owners and experts to maintain a clear understanding of current technical standards and direction; offer feedback on standards based on project experiences and user needs.
• Work closely with ATI leadership, managers, and business owners to provide support during solution delivery and application support phases, managing enhancements, maintenance priorities, and trade-offs as necessary.
• Execute resource planning aligned with current approved and prioritized efforts.
• Lead and ensure estimation efforts, identify resource needs for tasks, ensure skilled resources are available when needed, and manage work according to available capacity.
• Ensure that resources receive adequate training.
• Set and achieve realistic budgets and schedules.
• Recommend and implement modifications to methods and practices.
• Oversee personnel actions including hiring, onboarding, termination, promotion, development, disciplinary actions, and employee compensation.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and mentoring to direct reports and the next level down when appropriate.
• Lead effective collaboration not only within the immediate team but also with other IT verticals, development teams, and business partners to enhance efficiencies and ensure quality deliverables.
• Monitor the collaborative process and make necessary adjustments.
• Understand and manage department and Robert Half personnel practices and policies; keep direct reports and staff informed about general corporate information.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of inclusion and cultural awareness.
• Interact with customers and staff regarding technical design issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with management of Production/Operations teams to address production issues.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent years of experience.
• Proven leadership experience among peers in a fast-paced Global IT environment.
• 3+ years of experience in leading a quality engineering team.
• Strong automation expertise, including the design, implementation, and scaling of test automation frameworks and automated quality engineering practices.
• In-depth knowledge of IT tools and technologies required by the unit as well as IT processes and methodologies.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex problems.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Experience in full lifecycle software development, encompassing analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
• Capability to create project, software, design, functional architecture, or related artifacts.
• Familiarity with process modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of process definition and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of Cloud, Server, Networking, and modern operating system provisioning.
• A passion for self-learning to stay current with emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes, CI/CD implementations, and software and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in standard Office suite applications, particularly Microsoft Excel or an alternative reporting tool.
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated practice in customer service, business acumen, IT infrastructure technologies, end-user experience, and technology project delivery preferred.
• Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Must be capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment.
• Must function effectively as both a leader and a team member.
• Must analyze circumstances or data that necessitate evaluating various factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Must effectively convey knowledge to customers, peers, and managers of varying skill levels.
• Exceptional customer service orientation is essential.
• Strong working relationships with staff and ATI Leadership (VPs, Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers), as well as Business Teams and Leadership (Corporate and Front Office) are crucial.
• International experience for building global partnerships is preferred.
