QA Engineer – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on intricate fintech and cryptocurrency workflows, such as transactions, card operations, swaps, KYC procedures, asset transfers, and fiat on/off-ramps.

• Engage in feature design and delivery, proactively identifying risks and quality considerations early in the development lifecycle.

• Analyze production issues, replicate defects, and ensure that root causes are resolved.

• Collaborate with developers to establish an automated testing strategy and coverage.

• Create detailed test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Evaluate automated test implementations to confirm comprehensive coverage of business-critical functionalities.

• Foster a quality-first engineering culture where testing is integrated into the development process.

• Assist in incident investigations, post-mortems, and continuous improvements in reliability.

• Oversee product health using observability and analytics tools.

• Shape product and engineering decisions through data, technical analysis, and risk assessments.

• Aid teams in balancing delivery speed with product reliability and customer trust.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental QA expertise.

• Extensive hands-on experience in manual testing of mobile applications and backend systems, with over 5 years of delivering quality in production environments.

• Profound understanding of test design methodologies, exploratory testing, regression strategies, and risk-based testing.

• Experience in testing complex business logic within fintech, payments, cryptocurrencies, trading, or similarly regulated sectors.

• Strong skills in API testing and debugging.

• Proven experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on test automation projects.

• Capability to comprehend system architecture, backend integrations, and data flows.

• Solid understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability testing principles.

• Tools & Technologies: API Testing: Postman, Swagger. Traffic inspection and debugging: Charles or similar tools. Monitoring and Observability: Sentry, Grafana, Firebase. Mobile Testing Environments: Android Studio, TestFlight. Test Management Platforms: Qase, TestRail, or similar. SQL and Git.
