QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the iteration test strategy and test plan in accordance with the LFS PayTech Test Strategy.

• Develop and construct automated tests at the API level utilizing the pytest framework (contract, integration, end-to-end).

• Lead the generation of AI-driven test cases, create synthetic/masked test data, and employ risk-based test selection using sanctioned test-automation AI tools.

• Establish self-healing automation patterns to significantly minimize flakiness and reduce maintenance efforts.

• Manage non-functional test coverage pertinent to each service — including performance smoke, resilience, and security test hooks — in collaboration with LFS platform teams.

• Triage, reproduce, and oversee defects until resolution during iteration delivery and 2-week JSIT cycles; uphold the requirement of no open Sev 1/Sev 2 KPI gate.

• Collaborate with the Business Analyst on acceptance criteria and partner with engineers on test hooks that are designed in rather than added on.

• Contribute to iteration KPI reporting by providing test quality signals (defect density, escape rate, automation coverage).

• Assist in creating showcase demonstrations that include clear narratives supported by test evidence of quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical QA/test engineering experience in enterprise technology programs.

• Proficient in API test automation for Go or similar microservices.

• Hands-on expertise in Pytest, Puppeteer, or Playwright, demonstrating the ability to write automation rather than just configure it.

• Proven experience with AI-native test tools — including AI-led test case generation and synthetic test data.

• Knowledge of test data management best practices, including synthetic/masked data, PII handling, and compliance with LFS data classifications.

• Strong defect triage and root-cause analysis capabilities; adept at working within KPI gating for Sev 1/Sev 2.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
