This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Formulate testing strategies for new functionalities, platform upgrades, integrations, and production corrections.
• Assess product specifications, UX designs, technical designs, and acceptance criteria prior to the initiation of development.
• Recognize absent requirements, unclear behaviors, edge cases, failure conditions, permission issues, and data scenarios.
• Develop and sustain automated tests across the user interface, APIs, integrations, and essential workflows.
• Construct and uphold end-to-end browser automation utilizing Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a similar framework.
• Create and maintain automated tests at the API level.
• Facilitate component, integration, contract, regression, smoke, and release-validation testing.
• Conduct exploratory testing for intricate workflows and high-risk modifications.
• Verify behavior across various browsers, devices, roles, permissions, configurations, and data conditions.
• Test integrations with external systems, AI services, data sources, media providers, and enterprise applications.
• Confirm asynchronous processes, background tasks, event-driven behaviors, and failure recovery mechanisms.
• Reproduce, document, prioritize, and communicate defects with clear evidence and implications for the business.
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance testability, automated coverage, and defect prevention measures.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and assist in defining quality gates.
• Monitor the stability of automated tests, investigate failures, and eliminate unreliable tests.
• Utilize production defects and incident patterns to enhance regression coverage.
• Contribute to test data management, ensure test environment reliability, and establish repeatable validation processes.
• Track and report significant quality metrics, including escaped defects, automation coverage, failure patterns, and release risks.
• Employ AI-assisted tools to expedite test case generation and automation development.
• Over 4 years of professional experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development in testing.
• Strong practical experience in constructing and maintaining browser automation utilizing Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable framework.
• Familiarity with Playwright and TypeScript is particularly advantageous.
• Capability to write stable and maintainable test automation code using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or a similar language.
• Experience in automating REST API testing, with a solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication, authorization, status codes, API contracts, and typical integration patterns.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and validating application data in relational databases.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, negative testing, risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and regression design.
• Experience in validating intricate, data-driven workflows, incorporating configurable behaviors, multi-tenant environments, role-based access, and permissions.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and utilizing them to facilitate reliable release decisions.
• Ability to independently diagnose failures using browser developer tools, network traces, logs, API responses, database records, and application monitoring.
• Experience collaborating with developers to isolate defects, enhance testability, and clearly document and communicate findings.
