QA Engineer – AI Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI coding agents and associated tools to analyze SDK codebases, comprehend behaviors, and enhance the quality of work efficiently.

• Leverage product, technical, integration, and release risks to pinpoint the most valuable quality enhancements.

• Create, develop, and sustain effective unit and component tests for SDK behaviors.

• Design, construct, and uphold integration tests that encompass SDK interactions with Storyteller services and APIs.

• Integrate automated tests into active CI and release workflows, ensuring that failures are transparent and actionable.

• Validate that tests identify significant breakages rather than merely yielding passing results.

• Examine bugs by utilizing code, logs, APIs, test outcomes, and product behaviors.

• Collaborate with developers to enhance testability and avert recurring classes of defects.

• Communicate effectively through Slack and other team platforms: articulate the evidence, impact, current understanding, responsible party, and next steps.

• AI-native execution – You employ AI to perform substantial technical tasks, not just for writing or summarizing.

• Quality and validation judgment – You are capable of determining what merits testing, recognizing superficial tests, and demonstrating that an automated test offers genuine protection.

• Agency and ownership – You can tackle ambiguous quality risks, investigate them, gather evidence, select a reasonable next step, and guide the work towards a valuable outcome.

• Technical comfort – You feel at ease working with repositories, code, APIs, CI, logs, command-line tools, and automated testing frameworks.

• Problem-solving and systems thinking – You can differentiate between symptoms and root causes.

• Clear communication – You communicate in a succinct and direct manner.

• Learning velocity – You possess curiosity and can quickly become effective with new products, codebases, and tools.

• Nice to have – Experience with mobile applications or SDKs. Familiarity with Swift or Kotlin. Knowledge of API integration. Experience with automated testing or testing frameworks.
