QA Engineer – 12-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Evaluate new features, enhancements, and bug resolutions.

• Verify critical user flows and significant edge cases.

• Detect issues prior to production deployment.

• Clearly articulate quality risks.

• Assess requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Spot gaps, edge cases, and possible risks.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to clarify expected behaviors.

• Prioritize testing activities based on product risk assessments.

• Integrate structured testing with exploratory approaches.

• Ensure that essential regression scenarios are accounted for.

• Draft clear and actionable bug reports.

• Investigate issues utilizing logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.

• Provide timely feedback throughout the development lifecycle.

• Leverage AI to aid in test design, investigations, and documentation efforts.

• Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.

• Allocate more time to exploratory testing, risk assessment, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer focusing on web application testing.

• In-depth understanding of software testing principles and test design methodologies.

• Practical experience with exploratory, functional, regression, and API testing.

• Capable of reviewing requirements, identifying risks, and posing questions prior to the start of development.

• Proficient in testing APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.

• Familiarity with SQL or GraphQL for data validation and investigation purposes.

• Experience troubleshooting issues using logs, monitoring, or analytics tools such as Sentry, Rollbar, or Amplitude.

• Background in utilizing AI tools to enhance testing and investigative workflows while ensuring the accuracy of results.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.

• Experience working within Agile, cross-functional product teams.
