This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain automated testing scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing utilizing Playwright.

• Transform repeatable manual test cases into automated tests to enhance efficiency and coverage.

• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to detect failures and defects.

• Conduct manual QA testing alongside automation tasks, ensuring a balanced approach as automation coverage increases.

• Oversee automated test executions and report any failures or inconsistencies in Qase.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects in Jira, providing clear reproduction steps.

• Assist in regression and release testing activities during the ongoing migration project.

• Conduct API and data validation to ensure precision and reliability.

• Aid in the execution of automated tests within the CI pipeline and contribute suggestions for improvements.

• Document test cases, testing procedures, and known issues in Qase.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Keep updated with testing tools and quality practices pertinent to the team's environment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing, including at least 1 year focused on test automation.

• Practical experience with Playwright (strongly preferred) or similar tools like Selenium or Cypress.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language — JavaScript is highly advantageous given the team's Vue.js stack.

• Familiarity with C#, DHTMLX, and/or Vue.js to comprehend the applications being tested (deep coding knowledge is not mandatory).

• Experience using Qase or similar test management tools (e.g., Xray, Zephyr, TestRail).

• Experience with Jira for defect tracking and GitHub for version control and pipeline integration.

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Ability to develop comprehensive and effective test cases while identifying edge cases and potential risk areas.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in Agile or iterative development environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English — proactivity and clear communication are essential for this position.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently; this role necessitates someone who takes initiative in delivering quality outcomes.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, are advantageous.
