Python/GenAI Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, production-quality Python code for AI integrations, backend services, and RESTful APIs.

• Implement and enhance RAG systems for production scenarios.

• Create and develop LLM-based and agentic AI solutions that effectively tackle real business challenges for clients.

• Take ownership of the technical direction for client projects from the discovery phase to delivery.

• Assist in presales activities: conducting discovery calls, preparing technical proposals, defining project scopes, and presenting client-facing demos.

• Lead architecture reviews, produce technical design documentation, and contribute to best practices within the Python community.

• Mentor fellow engineers, conduct code reviews, and disseminate knowledge throughout the team.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and managing production systems, beyond just demos and proof of concepts.

• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML principles and proven experience in integrating AI/ML components into practical solutions.

• Proficient in Python, including OOP, design patterns, clean architecture, and performance optimization techniques.

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Django REST, or Flask frameworks.

• Proven ability to make and justify architectural trade-off decisions, such as microservices versus monolith, synchronous versus event-driven, and SQL versus NoSQL.

• Strong testing methodologies, including pytest, mocking, and integration testing for AI systems.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Practical experience in building production-level LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.

• Experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock.

• Knowledge in building and optimizing RAG systems.

• Understanding of LLM evaluation techniques and quality assurance methods.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining AI/ML models within production settings.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, ECR, or similar); GCP experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with React or Vue frameworks.

• AWS and Claude Code Certifications are preferred.
