Python Team Lead – Maritime Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Guide and mentor a team of Python developers, promoting best practices and ongoing improvement.

• Design and create scalable, high-performance backend systems utilizing Python.

• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.

• Collaborate with both SQL and NoSQL databases to develop efficient data models.

• Construct and maintain architectures based on microservices.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, Frontend).

• Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Lead technical decision-making, system design, and architectural conversations.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Contribute to cloud solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python.

• 1–2+ years of experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.

• Extensive experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.

• Strong understanding of SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

• Practical experience in building and scaling microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage, etc.).

• Strong grasp of software design principles (SOLID, clean architecture).

• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes is an advantage).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
