Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• This position is essential for developing the foundational infrastructure that enhances our product experience. Your contributions will significantly influence performance, reliability, and the overall user satisfaction.

• You will confront intricate challenges such as automating essential business workflows, creating new user-facing features, or enhancing API performance, all while having the freedom to test, iterate, and innovate.

• You will take ownership of complete projects, from design through to deployment. You will spearhead technical initiatives, promote enhancements in system architecture, and play a key role in shaping long-term engineering strategy.

• Develop scalable web applications using open-source tools and technologies.

• Create and utilize REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while keeping the team informed of your progress.

• Engage in technical planning, user story creation, and technical acceptance criteria development and implementation.

• Identify and resolve complex issues.

• Design technical architectures that reduce or eliminate performance issues, complexity, or fragility in solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in building scalable and reliable web applications is required.

• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI or a similar Python web framework.

• A fundamental understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Capable of designing database schemas that reflect and support business processes.

• Skills in unit testing and debugging.

• At least 3 years of experience with RDBMS such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Self-driven, independent, and motivated.

• Strong command of the English language.

• Experience with any of the following is advantageous: GraphQL, React, Elasticsearch, Redis, Celery, AWS (or other cloud providers).

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems is required.
