Python Developer – Temporary (6 months)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Migration and Modernization: Assist in the transition of current Django applications.

• Port Jupyter notebook-based ETLs, reports, and data processing workflows into production-ready Python services.

• Feature Implementation: Design and enhance new features using FastAPI for RESTful APIs and Vue.js.

• Collaborate with the team to restructure and optimize legacy code for improved maintainability.

• Engineering Best Practices: Implement and contribute to standards such as SOLID principles, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and code reviews.

• AI/Agentic Coding Adoption: Proactively leverage and promote Agentic AI tools to boost productivity.

• Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with a compact full-stack team to integrate with existing tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in professional/production Python development.

• In-depth expertise in Django/DRF and FastAPI.

• Proven track record of migrating monolithic Django applications to microservices architectures.

• Strong frontend development skills in Vue.js (including Vue 3, Vite, and component libraries such as Vuetify or Quasar).

• Practical experience with Jupyter notebooks for data science and ETL processes.

• AI/Agentic Mindset: Enthusiastic adopter of Agentic coding patterns and tools.

• Ability to work effectively in a small team setting.

• Experience with CRM platform integration.

• Familiarity with message brokers for real-time functionalities.

• Exposure to observability tools and deployment platforms.

• Proven experience in financial institutions or finance-related companies.
