This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain middleware and backend services using Python 3.x.
• Design, construct, and maintain secure REST APIs for both internal and external integrations.
• Create solutions utilizing FastAPI, Flask, Django, or other comparable Python frameworks.
• Establish workflow automation and system integration solutions across various enterprise platforms.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
• Assist in modernizing legacy systems into scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and adhere to DevSecOps best practices.
• Diagnose production issues and assist in optimizing system performance.
• Create technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational guides.
• Collaborate with technical teams, program leadership, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure that solutions comply with federal cybersecurity, compliance, and accessibility standards.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Over 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python 3.x.
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience in developing and supporting REST APIs.
• Proven experience in integrating applications with databases and enterprise systems.
• Background in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Full-time remote position based in the Washington, DC area.
• Occasional travel for client meetings, planning sessions, or program events as necessary.
• Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs.
