This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Generate and monitor purchase orders within the inventory management platform.
• Oversee receipts and keep precise log entries as inventory progresses through the system.
• Reconcile outstanding purchase orders over time — items may arrive partially, be substituted, or change over weeks and months.
• Handle data loads from various sources and allocate costs accordingly.
• Address third-party inquiries regarding inventory status (sold, scrapped, leased, consigned).
• Maintain exception logs and highlight discrepancies.
• Assist with recosting activities and collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure records are up-to-date.
• Process additions, removals, and status updates in the inventory system.
• Aid in scrap and change order processing.
• A candidate who is adept at navigating multiple systems and data sources concurrently.
• A keen attention to detail is crucial — this role involves numerous moving components, and precision is key.
• You should be at ease with structured data entry processes and inventory or purchasing systems.
• Capable of managing conflicting priorities without compromising quality.
• Proficient in Excel — utilized for reconciliations and data management.
• Strong communication skills — must be comfortable providing updates to third parties in a professional manner.
• Previous experience in purchasing coordination, inventory management, or equipment operations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is a plus.
