Public Affairs Advisor, Public Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Uphold the organization’s image while promoting policies and programs to external audiences through public relations, media relations, lobbying, and institutional affairs.

• Address complaints to enhance relationships with members/clients and safeguard the organization’s reputation and brand image.

• Provide guidance and support to clients and partners as part of the complaint resolution process.

• Assist more experienced professionals and help implement tools relevant to the field.

• Contribute to the development of recommendations, solutions, and action plans aligned with organizational goals and priorities.

• Conduct research and initial analysis, creating preliminary outlines of tools and processes.

• Manage information requests and complaints from members, clients, and organizational sectors in accordance with complaint handling policies and procedures.

• Identify issues, challenges, and needs to establish targeted outcomes.

• Aid in the development and execution of objectives, solutions, policies, programs, and action plans.

• Analyze data and issues, assist with studies, formulate recommendations, and prepare reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• At least one year of pertinent experience.

• Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.

• Proficiency in French is mandatory.

• Advanced English proficiency is required.

• Capability to manage public affairs, public relations, media relations, lobbying, and institutional affairs.

• Strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of the business sector.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders across various domains.
