This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Assist the physician in evaluating patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, telephone triage, and diagnostic data.
• Provide direct patient care, which includes triage, assessment, procedures, treatments, patient education, discharge, and follow-up instructions.
• Prepare patients for physician consultations and document vital signs, medical history, primary complaints, and pertinent information in medical records.
• Conduct specialized tests such as audiometry, electrocardiography, inhalation treatments, and select laboratory procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as per physician orders.
• Assist the physician with various treatments and procedures.
• Schedule tests and referral appointments for patients.
• Handle incoming patient calls and conduct follow-up calls as necessary.
• Clean and maintain examination rooms, instruments, and equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Manage medical supply inventory, verify medication and vaccine expiration dates, safely dispose of outdated medications, and place orders for supplies.
• Stay knowledgeable about necessary equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Support continuing education initiatives, participate in chart audits, quality assurance projects, and align with the practice mission.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification must be acquired within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills are required.
• Educational background should be at the Technical Diploma level.
