Psychiatrist, MD/DO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for patients in an outpatient environment.

• Deliver medication management and therapeutic services to a varied patient demographic.

• Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to both regulatory and organizational guidelines.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in psychiatric treatment and research practices.

• Refer patients for psychotherapy when necessary and collaborate with other mental health professionals involved in the patient's treatment to guarantee comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records for clients while ensuring all documentation complies with legal and ethical standards.

• Advocate for the rights and needs of clients, including their access to psychiatric services and medications.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently hold an active, unrestricted medical license in North Carolina, or be willing to obtain one.

• Must be a Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO).

• Must possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number along with any other licenses and certificates legally required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80) in a private practice setting.

• Strong grasp of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic methodologies.

• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions in psychiatric care.
