Psychiatrist, Collaborating Physician, Supervising Doctor – MD or DO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with seasoned PMHNPs in the treatment of low- and medium-acuity psychiatry patients through evidence-based methodologies.

• Conduct thorough chart reviews and offer prompt guidance on diagnoses, treatment strategies, medication management, and clinical escalations.

• Review and approve prescriptions, including controlled substances, when permitted by law and deemed clinically appropriate.

• Be available during designated working hours and at the conclusion of PMHNP shifts as required by relevant state regulations.

• Mentor clinicians while reinforcing Legion's clinical standards, documentation requirements, and responsible prescribing practices.

• Assist Legion in broadening access to high-quality psychiatric care throughout the United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid, unrestricted physician license (MD or DO) in at least one U.S. licensing jurisdiction.

• Active DEA individual practitioner registration or another applicable prescribing authority relevant to the position.

• Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.

• Ability to supervise nurse practitioners remotely, review charts, and address clinical inquiries comfortably.

• Confidence in exercising independent judgment regarding prescriptions, including controlled substances, in alignment with state and federal regulations.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses when mutually agreed upon and supported by Legion.

• Commitment to a minimum tenure of one year with the team.

• Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics, medication management, communication, and interpersonal relations.

• Proficiency in using technology, telehealth tools, and electronic health record systems.

• Dedication to patient-centered, compassionate, evidence-based care.
