This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for both new and existing patients through telehealth.
• Create and execute personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychopharmacological interventions and therapeutic recommendations.
• Oversee a panel of patients dealing with conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other psychiatric diagnoses.
• Track patient progress, modify medications as clinically necessary, and document outcomes in alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions when required, and make appropriate referrals to higher levels of care.
• Work collaboratively with therapists, care coordinators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to guarantee integrated, holistic care.
• Provide all clinical services using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, ensuring a professional, private, and secure setting.
• Ensure timely scheduling and efficient patient flow to fulfill productivity expectations while maintaining high care standards.
• Help patients navigate the telehealth experience, including troubleshooting basic platform issues and obtaining informed consent.
• Complete prompt and precise clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations related to prescribing authority, controlled substances (DEA), and telehealth practices.
• Uphold compliance with HIPAA, licensing requirements, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, peer review processes, and ongoing clinical audits.
• Educate patients about their diagnoses, medications, side effects, and self-management strategies in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Involve patients and, when appropriate, their families or support persons in shared decision-making and care planning.
• Encourage medication adherence and assist patients in overcoming treatment barriers.
• Possess a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state(s) of practice; multi-state licensure or compact eligibility is highly preferred.
• Hold board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP-BC) from ANCC.
• Maintain an active DEA registration with prescriptive authority, including Schedule II–V controlled substances.
• Have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a PMH-NP, ideally in an outpatient or telehealth behavioral health environment.
• Experience in treating adult and/or adolescent populations with a diverse range of psychiatric conditions is preferred.
• Prior experience in telehealth is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EHR systems; experience with behavioral health platforms is advantageous.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and psychopharmacology skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport in a virtual setting.
• Capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and excelling in a remote work environment.
