Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess and treat mental health and emotional disorders.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to patients.

• Prescribe and oversee medications as necessary.

• Keep comprehensive records of patient visits and their progress.

• Aid in creating personalized treatment plans.

• Work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

• Inform patients and their families about mental health and emotional disorders.

• Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives.

• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR): Must have shown experience in effectively using electronic health record systems to manage patient data, document clinical details, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly preferred.

• Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in various software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and resolve common issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a psychiatric clinical setting after licensure.

• Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Nursing.

• Board Certification through ANCC or AANP.

• Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (specific to clinic location).

• Active DEA registration in the state where you prescribe (specific to clinic location).

• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Understanding of mental health and emotional disorders.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Must be able to work in the office one day per week as part of our hybrid model.
