This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Perform thorough telehealth psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for Neura’s neurology patient demographic.
• Prescribe and oversee psychiatric medications, assessing their effectiveness and side effects in relation to neurological co-morbidities.
• Work in close collaboration with Neura’s neurologists, nurse practitioners, and care coaches to provide holistic, integrated patient care.
• Accurately document all clinical interactions in the EMR in a timely manner, in accordance with Neura’s documentation standards.
• Engage in care team case reviews, clinical huddles, and ongoing initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
• Maintain licensure across multiple states and practice within your licensed areas; actively seek additional state licensure as the patient panel increases.
• Commit to a minimum of 8 clinical hours weekly to Neura, with the expectation to increase hours as the behavioral health sector grows.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Neura’s behavioral health clinical protocols, workflows, and patient experience as the inaugural PMHNP hire.
• Keep abreast of current evidence-based practices in psychiatry, telepsychiatry, and the convergence of neurology and behavioral health.
• Active, unrestricted PMHNP licensure in at least New York state; multi-state licensure is highly desirable (the more states, the better).
• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC (or ARNP with a psychiatric specialty).
• Valid DEA registration and prescriptive authority; ability to acquire DEA registration in additional states.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP, with prior telehealth experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in treating patients with psychiatric co-morbidities alongside chronic conditions, ideally in neurology, primary care, or integrated care environments.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and telehealth platforms.
• Capacity to commit to a minimum of 8 patient care hours weekly, with the flexibility to adjust as demand increases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective patient care and cross-functional team collaboration.
