Provider Contracting Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Initiate, negotiate, and finalize contracts and agreements with physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers.

• Convey contract details, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.

• Assess the financial implications of contracts and their terms.

• Manage contracts and related documentation within a tracking system.

• Support the identification and recruitment of providers based on network needs and composition.

• Provide strategic advice to executives on significant, often segment-specific, functional strategies.

• Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network management, including hospital contracting and network administration within a healthcare organization.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading projects.

• Proficient skills in provider contracting, including negotiation, preparation and implementation, financial analysis, and the development of rate proposals.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Previous experience with ACO/Risk Contracting is preferred.

• Familiarity with Value Based Contracting is preferred.

• Experience in tribal health, Medicaid, and/or DNSP contracting is preferred.

• Preferred candidates will be located within the region (ID, MT, WA, WY, UT, OR, AK).

• Home internet must have a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps.

• A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions is required to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
