Provider Based Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver financial and compliance analyses to assist organizational leaders throughout WVU Medicine.

• Generate and compile reports that facilitate decision-making for outpatient services across the health system.

• Evaluate the establishment of new departments in relation to CMS provider-based and RHC regulations.

• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses regarding the impact of clinic reimbursements on hospitals within the health system.

• Address requests and resolve issues raised by departmental leadership, IT, clinical teams, and support staff.

• Interpret and provide guidance to stakeholders on CMS provider-based compliance according to 42 CFR 413.65.

• Identify and analyze legislation that affects provider-based billing.

• Coordinate and execute onsite gap assessments for provider-based clinics and RHCs as necessary.

• Educate hospital and system personnel on best practices related to provider-based requirements at WVU Medicine.

• Facilitate and engage in business meetings with clinical leadership.

• Develop and enhance reporting packages, offer continuous support, and monitor projects.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the department, interfacing with hospital leadership and staff.

• Aid in identifying problems, resolving issues, and designing solutions for business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.

• Extensive experience with various software platforms, including Tableau and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.

• Capability to analyze information pertaining to CMS provider-based and RHC regulations.

• Understanding of CMS provider-based compliance as outlined in 42 CFR 413.65.

• Proficient in identifying and interpreting legislation that influences provider-based billing.

• Ability to utilize analytical methods to ensure that reported data is both meaningful and precise.

• Competence in developing technical skills in data analytics using diverse systems and tools.

• Strong communication skills to translate business concepts into actionable and relevant terms.
