Protection & Control Specialist – Technologist, Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protective relays, RTUs, PLCs, DFRs, and communication systems.

• Conduct field testing for transmission and distribution systems, transformers, buses, and generation assets.

• Aid in the configuration and commissioning of relay systems.

• Provide support for SCADA and RTU integration and upgrades.

• Analyze drawings, protection schemes, and relay settings.

• Diagnose and resolve field issues under the supervision of senior specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of progressive experience in protection and controls field services.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience with protection relays (SEL preferred; GE considered an asset).

• Knowledge of RTU and communication systems (SEL, GE, Novatech, etc.).

• Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel throughout BC.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
