Proposal Writer, Researcher – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Oversee project management and stakeholder engagement while collaborating closely with IIX’s core R&A team to manage the project.

• Cultivate key R&A project-level relationships with essential stakeholders for IIX.

• Supervise IIX’s research writers and field consultants, evaluate their outputs, and provide feedback on project deliverables.

• Take the lead in organizing events and workshops, while also facilitating engagement with players in the impact investing ecosystem, donors, and partners.

• Execute market ecosystem research to promote gender-lens investing.

• Investigate new and emerging trends in thematic and impact investments.

• Create outreach materials, including policy papers, concept notes, and pitch decks.

• Drive strategic, organization-wide business development initiatives.

• Source, prepare, and submit requests for proposals (RFPs) and expressions of interest (EOIs) from global and regional tendering bodies.

• Develop external marketing and strategic business development materials.

• Collaborate effectively to execute client engagements.

• Work together with colleagues from other departments on ongoing project management and strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-9 years of progressive experience in project management, research, management consulting, or similar roles, with an emphasis on Indonesia & Southeast Asia.

• Preferred familiarity with the financing/investment and SME landscape in Indonesia.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting training, market research, and managing/writing research reports.

• Exceptional research and technical writing abilities (candidates will be asked to provide previous writing samples and may need to complete additional writing assessments).

• Experience interacting with diverse stakeholders in Indonesia across both public and private sectors is preferred.

• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and robust leadership capability.

• Superb presentation and verbal/written communication skills.

• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
