This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Proposal Writer will be responsible for leading the creation, writing, editing, and management of persuasive proposal submissions that aim to enhance YA's growth.
• Provide assistance with proposals and take the lead on Requests for Information, Requests for Qualifications, and other client proposals, supporting the process from capture to interview stage as needed.
• Engage in go/no-go decisions, capture planning, and positioning activities related to proposal preparation.
• Oversee the proposal process, which includes managing the proposal schedule, templates, compliance lists, and content plans, while also offering guidance on document design.
• Act as the primary writer/editor for cover letters, resumes, and past performance sections of proposals.
• Aid in developing data calls for teaming partners/subconsultants, organizing status calls, and conducting color team reviews.
• Facilitate color team reviews and supervise the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on feedback from review teams and the capture team.
• Assist in internal debriefs post-proposal submission, and analyze client debriefs and feedback on proposals to foster continuous improvement.
• Utilize knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, signatory).
• Collaborate with relevant operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or create marketing materials (including case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).
• Take part in presentation/interview preparation and planning, as assigned.
• Execute final edits and layout designs using tools like Canva, MS Word, and InDesign, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Maintain updated data using CRM software (NetSuite, Salesforce).
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in proposal coordination, writing, and editing within the private sector is required, with experience in public sector consulting being a plus.
• Preferred working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Canva, InDesign, or other graphic design software is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively independently in a remote environment.
