This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Generate and deliver timely and precise financial reports for your designated portfolio of around 30 properties, encompassing monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial statements for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Take ownership of the general ledger for your designated region, utilizing critical thinking and decision-making skills to guarantee accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Independently handle higher complexity accounting tasks.
• Communicate financial insights and reports to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner to enable productive discussions and informed decision-making by the operations and asset management teams.
• Review the financial statements prepared by the centralized team prior to distribution to external property owners, ensuring adherence to management agreements and proper application of contract terms.
• Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning to assist business decisions across finance, operations, and asset management.
• Collaborate with other finance leaders to manage and mentor junior accountants in both the US and Mexico.
• Ensure that our centralized/offshore teams accurately complete reconciliations related to your properties, including intercompany reconciliations, and assist the offshore team as needed to ensure timely payments to our property partners and Kasa.
• When not engaged in monthly closing and financial reporting, your focus will shift to process enhancement and ad hoc projects. You will proactively seek automation opportunities for manual processes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our tech-enabled accounting operations. Partnering with offshore team members, you will identify and implement new improvement areas, providing insights and recommendations to drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize resource allocation.
• Develop strong relationships with regional teams, serving as a key contact for accounting-related inquiries and ensuring alignment on financial performance. Regularly lead meetings within your assigned region with an emphasis on financial results.
• Deliver a high level of service to property partners and internal teams by providing timely, thoughtful, and accurate responses.
• Oversee cash flow and treasury functions for your portfolio, ensuring timely payments and precise forecasting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of property-level accounting experience across multiple properties and/or real estate portfolios in hospitality, real estate, or a related industry.
• At least 1 year of experience managing or mentoring team members.
• Strong proficiency in property-level hospitality accounting, cash flow forecasting, and portfolio-level roll-up reporting.
• A strategic thinker capable of providing actionable insights for senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, including operations and property partners, both in written and verbal formats.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets are required (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.).
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is required.
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP, USALI reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Intellectually curious, highly motivated, and capable of maintaining efficiency while working independently.

• The Pay: The starting base salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, determined by various factors including business needs, market demands, talent availability, and individual experience, skills, and attributes. This base salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, bonuses, perks, benefits, and Kasa Travel Credits.
