This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assess and estimate residential and commercial first-party claims.
• Investigate coverage and damage issues, conveying findings to clients.
• Collaborate with contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, and internal partners to manage intricate claims.
• Detect suspicious claims, suggest SIU evaluations, and assist in investigations as needed.
• Manage claims in alignment with relevant regulations and internal protocols.
• Provide support during catastrophe responses, including potential overtime and deployment.
• Perform additional tasks necessary to advance the company’s mission and uphold its values.
• Travel to loss locations to perform damage assessments and coverage evaluations, drafting repair estimates when applicable.
• Must reside in the Queens, NY area.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field property claims.
• Proficient in Claims Connect/Symbility estimating, including large loss estimates.
• Adjuster licensed in home state or possesses a non-resident license if not required.
• Compliance with licensing requirements for additional states as needed.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Compassionate interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in estimating and handling large/complex losses is highly preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• Experience in catastrophe-focused settings is highly preferred.
• Professional designations are highly favored.
• Potential for overtime during catastrophe response.
