This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee and provide support to a team of property claims adjusters handling various levels of claim complexity.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, and technical expertise to foster adjuster growth and enhance performance.
• Conduct performance assessments, training sessions, and continuous feedback discussions.
• Assist in the hiring process, onboarding, and the distribution of workloads within the claims team.
• Monitor claims handling processes to guarantee adherence to company policies and client expectations.
• Review high-exposure or intricate property claims and offer strategic guidance on resolution and claims handling.
• Authorize claim settlements within defined authority limits.
• Ensure proper reserve setting, claim documentation, and investigative practices are maintained.
• Track operational performance indicators such as claim cycle time, quality assurance outcomes, and productivity metrics.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational enhancements and best practices across the claims team.
• Act as a liaison for clients regarding claim performance, service delivery, and operational issues.
• Participate in client meetings, providing updates on claim trends, outcomes, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, engineers, and other specialists involved in property claim investigations and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and client service agreements in claims handling.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in property claims handling.
• Adjuster licensing as mandated by jurisdiction.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property claims investigation, assessment, and settlement processes.
• Preferred experience in managing complex or high-value property claims.
• Experience with Xactimate is preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience in handling commercial or large-loss property claims is preferred.
• Familiarity with property estimating tools and vendor repair networks is preferred.
• Industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, or equivalent are preferred.
