This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and execute strategies to facilitate the resolution of Commercial Property claims that are of moderate to high severity and complexity.
• Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional team members at Coterie on processes, products, projects, insurance, and various global enterprise initiatives.
• Conduct investigations into claims and review the insured's materials, documents, reports, and more.
• Identify and evaluate coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and engage coverage counsel when necessary, as well as review their opinion letters and analyses.
• Create and implement strategies concerning coverage issues that align with the overall strategy of the cases managed by the handler.
• Assess coverage and damages for the purpose of estimating, evaluating, and recommending reserves.
• Keep a diary of all claims, post reserves promptly, and respond swiftly to inquiries from insured parties, counsel, underwriters, brokers, and senior management.
• Negotiate settlements for claims.
• Analyze and direct initial risk transfer, subrogation efforts, additional insured issues, and contractual indemnity matters to ensure fair contribution among all claim stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver written and oral reports to senior management outlining all factors affecting evaluations and reserve recommendations.
• Over 5 years of experience working with an insurance company and/or insurance claims loss adjustment service provider managing property and casualty claims.
• Extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and claims operations, specifically in relation to commercial property and casualty claims, policy construction, and ISO Commercial BOP forms.
• Valid adjuster licensing in all relevant states.
• Strong understanding of legal concepts and processes.
• Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to influence, evaluate, negotiate, listen, and engage with others effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
• Competence to participate in dynamic strategic discussions.
• Strong collaborative skills, self-motivated, and proactive in taking initiative.
• Ability to interpret and synthesize daily work within the team into trends, themes, successes, and opportunities over time.
• Proficient negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and client service abilities.
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with the capability to collaborate effectively with others.

• Practical experience and a strong aptitude for using Microsoft Office.
