This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Analyze and manage low to mid-level auto and transportation claims.
• Handle auto property damage and lower-level injury claims; evaluate damage, process payments, and ensure proper documentation and coding of claim files in accordance with policy standards.
• Create and maintain action plans to ensure compliance with state-required contract deadlines and facilitate prompt and appropriate resolution of claims.
• Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities; manage salvage acquisition and disposal.
• Communicate claim progress and processing updates with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers when necessary.
• Uphold professional relationships with clients.
• Conduct coverage, liability, and damage assessments on all assigned claims.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Contribute to the organization's quality program(s).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Obtain and maintain the necessary State adjusting licenses for the role.
• Knowledge of personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements is beneficial.
• Ability to review and evaluate Property Damage estimates, total loss assessments, and associated expenses to effectively negotiate first and third-party claims.
• Familiarity with total loss processing, State salvage forms, and title requirements is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
