Claims Specialist III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims for all properties acquired by agencies or investors.

• Complete the reconciliation of all advances to be incorporated into the claim.

• Validate all required supporting documentation for the claim.

• Maintain accurate records and reports for management related to daily production.

• Conduct internal departmental quality control audits of post-claim activities.

• Identify current trends that may necessitate additional training measures for Supervisors.

• Perform internal departmental quality assurance audits before claim submission.

• Assist in updating relevant workstations for processing claim payments.

• Support post-claim agency/client requirements.

• Follow up and monitor the payment status of filed claims.

• Conduct miscellaneous research to complete daily responsibilities.

• Perform research related to post-claim activities such as “missing documents and/or agency inquiries.”

• Complete the tasks queue and accurately note the internal system.

• Execute all other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• 4 - 5 years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claims and/or the legal sector.

• Strong understanding of accepted business practices within the mortgage industry and the claims process.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the foreclosure process and relevant guidelines.

• Experience with LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform).

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

• Capability to make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient communication skills in writing, in person, and over the phone.

• Competence in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality.
