This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• In the role of Associate Claim Representative for Outside Property, you will undergo extensive training in claim management, customer service, and policy understanding while working alongside seasoned claim professionals.
• Engage actively in structured training programs that cover insurance policies, specific claim procedures, systems, and methods, which include virtual, classroom, and hands-on training.
• Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.
• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to investigate and assess all pertinent facts and information, which may include analyzing leases, contracts, by-laws, and other relevant documents.
• Determine and apply coverage for building damages according to policy terms.
• Establish an accurate scope of damages for both building and contents losses, utilizing this as a foundation for written estimates and/or computer-assisted estimates.
• Provide prompt and professional communication to customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain precise records of claim activities in claim management systems.
• Exhibit a willingness to engage in continuous learning, particularly in areas related to AI and digital transformation.
• Adapt to the implementation of new technologies, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts while ensuring productivity and service quality.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Prior internship or work experience in customer service or the insurance sector.
• Willingness to secure an active adjuster license as required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a readiness to learn claims management and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within the established authority.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to ensuring a positive experience for insureds and claimants.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Basic conflict resolution skills, along with a willingness to learn techniques for facilitating productive discussions and negotiations.
• Demonstrated openness to continuous learning.
