Property and Casualty Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and underwrites both new and renewal property and casualty business.

• Assesses various factors to decide on the acceptance, modification, or rejection of risks.

• Establishes suitable coverage limits and premium rates based on risk evaluation.

• Cultivates existing broker relationships and oversees production activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting.

• Must fulfill the minimum criteria for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses.

• Possession of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is advantageous.
