Property Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• You will oversee the complete accounting operations for a designated group of vacation rental property management companies.

• You manage the day-to-day and month-end accounting for your assigned portfolio of companies, which includes bank reconciliations, trust account management, generation of owner statements, processing payments, remittance of occupancy tax, and recording in the general ledger.

• You lead the closing process within your assigned property management systems, ensuring that all transactions are completed accurately and punctually to facilitate consolidated reporting.

• You serve as the accounting liaison between HQ and your portfolio companies.

• You will actively participate in the onboarding of newly acquired companies to our accounting systems and standards.

• You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, strengthen controls, and elevate the standards of accounting operations across your assigned companies.

• A solid accounting foundation — you grasp the essentials and can implement them in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

• A true customer service orientation — you are at ease being a trusted resource for field operators and representing the accounting organization with professionalism and care.

• Comfort with uncertainty — as escalation frameworks are still being developed, you'll need to exercise good judgment regarding when to take action and when to seek guidance.

• A preference for cleanliness — you are not content with "good enough" and will proactively engage in clean-up efforts without needing multiple prompts.

• Experience with property management accounting systems (e.g., Guesty, Streamline, Track, or similar).

• This position is full-time and remote. You must have your own workspace and a reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps.

• The schedule for this role aligns with US working hours, and you must be willing to work night shifts and during Philippine holidays.

• A minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, a startup, or a high-growth environment; we are also open to slightly more senior candidates with the right skill set.

• Proficiency in NetSuite.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Experience in vacation rental, hospitality, or property management.

• Familiarity with a PE-backed, roll-up, or M&A-intensive environment and a CPA license.
