This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Provide capacity building and compliance support to victim services programs for Alaska Natives.
• Ensure adherence to DOJ/OJP award conditions, which include confidentiality policies, program narratives, time-task plans, and other award stipulations.
• Create tailored assistance plans, share expertise in relevant subjects, and document outcomes.
• Assist in the development of victim services policies, procedures, community needs assessments, strategic plans, and sustainability strategies.
• Aid recipients in addressing OJP monitoring challenges and executing corrective measures.
• Assess grantee needs and monitor the progress of tailored assistance initiatives.
• Design culturally relevant training sessions, curricula, and resources aimed at Alaska Native audiences.
• Organize webinars, peer learning exchanges, and communities of practice.
• Perform evaluations of resources, infrastructure, and community capabilities.
• Identify and disseminate culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices and resources.
• Collaborate with assistance providers, partners in Alaska, government clients, subject matter experts, and project collaborators.
• A bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting American Indian and Alaska Native communities in victim services.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience providing capacity building and/or compliance support to Alaska Native communities.
• Must reside in Alaska.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory as per federal government contract requirements.
• Public Trust security clearance is required before the start date, subject to a government security investigation.
• Willingness to travel, including to remote communities in Alaska, if necessary.
• Experience assisting Alaska Tribal grant recipients with compliance related to DOJ/OJP award conditions.
• Familiarity with community needs assessments, strategic planning, or program development.
• Capability to advise senior management and government clients on challenges faced by Alaska Native communities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with assistance providers, partners in Alaska, government clients, subject matter experts, and project partners.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in engaging audiences and communicating effectively in virtual settings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, e-learning platforms, webinars, and other digital tools.
